Sharjah International Book Fair

Launched for the first time in 1982 under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the SIBF is dedicated to promoting the love of the written word and remains committed towards attracting authors and publishers alongside their best work to the region. It is now the fourth largest book exhibition in the world and one of the UAE's main cultural attractions.
